1st Patras International Half Marathon Sunday, April 9, 2023 Are you ready for the big road date of 2023?
The 1st International Half Marathon that will take place on Sunday, April 9 in Patras. The organizer of the great race is the Pelopas association, the co-organizer is the Region of Western Greece, while the event is also supported by the Municipality of Patreon.
The main “dish” of the event is the Half-marathon road with a total distance of 21,097m, starting and ending at King George I square and on a flat, as well as impressive course that will move along the beach front of Patras. However, the program also includes 5km road races. and 1 km. for children, who are expected to steal the show. Men and women over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the Half Marathon race, while for the 5km road race participants must be at least 12 years of age. At the same time, in the 1km race. children between the ages of 6 and 12 will have the right to participate. There will also be great cash prizes for the winners and top athletes of the Half Marathon, while registrations will only be made online through the official website of the race www.patrashalfmarathon.gr
As for the birth of the 1st International Half Marathon, it arose from the desire and dream of a running group, to organize a great race. A race with an international character that will host elite athletes, but also, at the same time, that will be offered to all those who love running. A race for those who love Patras and want to put their own color in the city and above all a race for everyone!
