The race for the mountain road “ARMA PARNITHAS” is organized this year on Sunday October 22, 2023, by the National Technical University of Athens. FYLIS & the Municipality of Fili.
Includes 2 round trips, 10 km. and 17 km:
The small route is 10 km long (of which 2.5 km in a path) with 300 meters of cumulative altitude difference. This route is addressed to less experienced runners who want to join & run in the wooded West Parnitha.
The established route is 17 km long and 900 meters of cumulative altitude difference, and moves in areas of particular natural beauty of Western Parnitha, perimeter of the characteristic “Arma” hill, which is the natural boundary of the famous gorge of Goura. It passes through mountaineering paths, streams and forest roads that meet points of natural and historical significance for the region (Giannoula stream, Tamilthi spring, sources of ancient Fylis) and a wooded area, which was saved by the catastrophic fire of 2007.
Cups will be awarded to the top three of the overall men / women ranking
per route. All commemorative medals will be awarded to all participants as well as prize draws to the participants per match.
