The Municipality of Agia, the company MIKELcafe, the Naval Sports Association of Larissa and the Spitakicafé Velika, co-organize the 13th Panhellenic Swimming Camp Marathon “Filoktitis”.
The race will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018, and includes a 6 km route alongside the coast, starting at 12 o’clock from Kato Sotiritsa Beach and finishing at the beach of Velika on the organized coast in front of CaféSpitaki, as well as a second course 1,500 meters.
“Filoktitis” has been a major sporting institution for the thirteen consecutive years and a unique point of reference for the region since it is the only one – in its kind – offshore race to be held in the prefecture of Larissa. The participation of swimming athletes from Larissa, Thessaloniki, Athens, Halkidiki, Skiathos and other regions of Greece with their ages ranging from 14 to 67 years is characteristic of the race!
The cost of the match is € 10. Entries are accepted at email@example.com and the participants assume responsibility for any accidents during the race, completing a responsible statement prior to the start.
On Saturday, October 20th, CaféSpitaki will host the well-established 1-kilometer long evening walk. Those wishing to participate in the race and to stay in the area on Saturday or Sunday should declare this, as well as the accompanying members, together with the application form, so that the organizing committee can take care of their stay. It is stressed that escorts are not required for the particular match, but they can be accommodated. The cost of overnight stays for athletes and escorts is 15 Euro per person in a double room.
The organizing committee of the race is also executed this year by Nikos Dougas, Kostas Topalis and Aris Galatos.
The athletes will be awarded for their effort at a ceremony at the end of the race. All participants will receive t-shirts, medals and diplomas
