On April 30, 2023, the 17th International Marathon Road of Thessaloniki “Alexander the Great” will be held.

Extension of group and individual registrations for the 17th International Marathon ALEXANDER THE GREAT – bwin!

The five-day extension of the group registrations was decided by the Organizing Committee of the 16th International Marathon ALEXANDER THE GREAT – bwin on Sunday, April 30, responding to the impressive interest for participation in the biggest event of the year in Northern Greece!

Runners can be informed from the official website of the event about the routes of the race program, the historic route Pella-Thessaloniki of the International Marathon, which is framed by the Roads of Health and Dynamic Walking 10,000m. and 5,000m.

Registrations can be submitted in the following ways:

a. By registering online at the official website of the event, www.alexanderthegreatmarathon.org and www.atgm.gr.

b. By sending the printed registration form by e-mail to info@atgm.gr and info@alexanderthegreatmarathon.org or by fax to 2310 200361 (MEAS Triton).

c. In person at the Head Office of the International Marathon “ALEXANDER THE GREAT”, National Kaftanzogleio Stadium (tel .: 2310 200360).

d. For registration through the Institution of the Social Responsibility Program of the event: The runner submits his application directly to the Institution of his choice, joining his (Running Team).

The event is a regular member of the AIMS World Marathon Federation. It is organized by MEAS THIRD with the institutional cooperation of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Region of Central Macedonia, under the auspices of which it bears. It is also under the auspices of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the General Secretariat of Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Hellenic Tourism Organization, the Ministry of National Defense and the Hellenic Olympic Committee. It is also done with the kind support of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, the SEGAS federation and is also supported by the Municipalities of Ampelokipi-Menemeni, Pella, Chalkidonos, Delta and Kordelio-Evosmos, as well as by a number of Institutional and Voluntary Bodies, such as : www.alexanderthegreatmarathon.org, www.atgm.gr.

2021 was the “encore” that nobody has asked for..but in a year of struggle, hardship, and constantly moving goal spots, we managed to bring the International Marathon “Alexander the Great” back to the streets and host one of the biggest events in our country.
