EAS SEGAS Eastern Macedonia & Thrace in collaboration with the Municipality of Emmanuel Papa, announce the 22nd road race Em. Papa with a parallel street race of primary school students, in the context of the events of the homonymous hero of 1821 with the following terms:
1. DATE OF CONDUCT: Sunday 05 December 2021
2. A) DISTANCE 17,000 m for men-women born in 2005 and older. Start time: 10:45
STARTING POINTS: Eleftherias Square in Serres. TERMINATION: Community of Emmanuel Papa.
B) DISTANCE 1200 m for primary school students (born in 2010 and younger) Start time: 11:15. STARTING POINTS: At the 15,800th kilometer of the route of the race of 17000 m (after A. Pneuma to E. Pappas where there will be a relevant indication) FINISH: Community of Emmanuel Papa

5. RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE:
Participation in the Race is allowed to those who were born in 2005 and older and for the race of 1200 m those born in 2010 and younger
According to the approved by the State Authorities and the G.G.A. Health protocols for holding championships and mass road races outside the Stadium, only those fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and those who have a disease certificate up to 15 days before the receipt of their participation material from the stadium have the right to participate in the 17000 m road. the Registration Center until Sunday 5-12-21. The qualities of the fully vaccinated and the sick are proved only by the certificates and the conditions required by the same state authorities.
For the 1200m road race of primary school students, a rapid test or self-test is required
Commemorative medals will be given to all runners who finish.
The first three winners of all categories will be awarded diplomas and medals. The first three winners of all categories will be awarded cups.
7. APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
Registrations will be made electronically until Thursday 2-12-21 at the address of EAS Eastern Macedonia – Thrace and on Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 am. For students of the route 1200 m the registrations will be made at the starting point one hour before.
Priority will be given to the number of entries, according to the health protocol.
8. DELIVERY OF MATERIALS
All participants receive their entry number on Sunday 08:30 to 10:00 from the Registration Center of the event, which will be located at the starting point
The receipt of the participation number is made by demonstration:
The email that the runner has previously received (if he has stated an email address) and states his participation number,
His Police ID or other similar document (passport, driver’s license, etc.) and
The Vaccination Certificate against COVID-19 disease or the Disease Certificate.
No entry number is provided without proof of identity (or other relevant identification document) and the Certificate of Vaccination or Disease (with a listed date up to 15 days before the day of receipt of the entry material
9. HEALTH COVERAGE – MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS:
The health coverage of the event will be provided by the Health Service of the Organization. The organizers, in collaboration with the Chief Physician, the Emergency Services, the First Aid staff and the Voluntary Rescue Teams, will take all the necessary measures for the safety of the participating athletes. There will be Rescue Volunteers along the way, who will provide first aid in case of need.
The participants-runners in the event, participate in the event with their absolute personal responsibility and with free will, having undergone the necessary medical examinations and having done the necessary cardiological examination and bear the full responsibility of their participation in terms of their physical condition and ability. to participate.
The organizers do not bear any responsibility in case of injury, damage or other damage that may occur while participating in the event during or after the race.
Juvenile runners, under the responsibility of their parents and guardians, must have undergone a medical examination before participating in the race.
No medical certificates will be required in the competitions as the adults participate at their own risk and the minors with the consent of their parents.
10. SUPPORT – POWER STATIONS
During the Race, in addition to the Start and Finish, bottled water will be provided to the Sanitary and Support Stations in each village.
11. TIME LIMIT FOR COMPLETION OF MATCHES:
The time limit for the road 17000 m. Is 2 hours (time 12.45). There is no time limit for the 1200 m road.

13. TRANSITION OF ROUTES TO THE START
The participating runners go to the starting point of the race at their own risk while the return after the finish in Serres will be done by municipal buses
All participating runners must wear a protective mask from their arrival on the race track until their start, ie until they take their place in the special fixed position indications. To dispose of the protective mask there will be a large number of waste bins in appropriate places in the blocks to the start.
Runners should not have accompanying persons – spectators with them on arrival and generally during their stay on the race grounds.
14. ROAD WARMING PLACES
Runners can warm up individually (running, flexibility exercises, etc.) in Eleftherias Square, avoiding running in groups and avoiding points where there is a congruence of runners or accompanying persons.
15. MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL ITEMS & CLOTHING
The bag with clothes and personal items, for any runner who wishes, must be delivered to the organizers at least 30 minutes before the start of the race (ie no later than 10.15 am. Delivery is by bus only in the starting area.
For reasons of safety and protection, the receipt of the bag of each runner, immediately after the finish, is done with the help of volunteers, by the runner himself, with the presentation of his participation number.
16. PLACEMENT OF ROUTES AT THE START (Starting Blocks)
No later than 15 minutes before the start, ie at 10.30 am all runners must have taken a seat at the start area. The distinguished athletes will occupy the first row in the starting line under the responsibility of the organizers.
The runners will be placed in different starting blocks of 50 runners each, in such a way as to maintain the natural distance of 1.5m between them and the start will be done in rows For the convenience of the runners, gradually moving towards the starting line and taking position in the block to be started, runners will be asked to take a position on the special signs that will be on the ground, creating rows of 6 people each. It is noted that the distribution of registered runners in the starting blocks is done with the same criteria followed by the Organizing Committee in recent years and participants should not change blocks for reasons of possible tracking. For a distance of at least 200m – 300m (2,500 m2) after the start, there will be a flow indicator in order to indicate to the runners the path to follow and the distances that are recommended to be followed.
The competitions will be held in accordance with the regulations of the World Athletics Federation (World Athletics) edition 2020 – 2021 as well as SEGAS. The judges and the Hellenic Judicial Committee can at any time cancel athletes in case of non-compliance with the rules, but also delete them after the race from the results by evaluating objections, electronic or visual material.
What is not provided by the Announcement will be regulated by the Technical Manager and the Chief of the race, according to the Regulations.
It is NOT ALLOWED to participate in the race on invalidly registered runners or runners without entry number
Each athlete-three will receive one (1) personal number which should be placed on the front of the racing suit.
Entry numbers must be held with the 4 latches, one at each corner, in such a way that they do not fall and, in addition, they must be placed in such a way that they are fully visible during the race.
PARTICIPATION NUMBERS ARE PERSONAL. They are not transferred and are not given to another person arbitrarily without the prior approval of the Organizing Committee of the race.
All runners, immediately after the finish, are invited to continue walking towards the exit from the finish area receiving a commemorative medal and bottled water and whatever else is offered according to the instructions of the organizers.
19. HYGIENE PROTOCOL FOR CONDUCTING A ROAD RACE ON A PUBLIC ROAD

In the context of the 22nd road race in memory of Emmanuel Papa that will be organized by our Municipality on 5-12-2021 in collaboration with EAS Eastern Macedonia – Thrace, all those involved in the organization will have to observe the Health Protocols of E.O. Δ.Υ. and the respective Health Protocols for conducting matches that are in force, with any modifications that will be valid until the date of the match and concern the prevention of the transmission of COVID – 19.
The public road race will include the following routes:
1. Road race 17000 meters for adults vaccinated or sick with a maximum participation of 150 athletes-three
2. Road race 1200 meters for primary school students with rapid test or self test with a maximum of 50 students-three.
In this context:
Participation will be allowed only to runners who are fully vaccinated against COVID 19 or who have a Certificate of Illness (with a date of up to 15 days before the date of receipt of the entry material) and those who meet the conditions for participation, as mentioned in are valid based on the clarifying instructions of the General Secretariat of Sports, before the date of the Race, for the safe return to sports activity.
The number and the material of participation per race will be received on the day of the race and ONLY if the participant or his representative demonstrates the Certificate of Vaccination or the Certificate of Disease and for the students of the primary schools the corresponding negative test.
In front of each station in the area of the Registration Center there will be stickers on the floor / street that will indicate the waiting places for those who are waiting to be served.
It is recommended that runners / visitors wear a protective mask during their stay at the Registration Center as well as on the day of the race and until the moment of their placement at the starting point (during arrival at the venue and warm-up).
The movements of participants / volunteers / employees / judges / collaborators for the purposes of the event both before and after the race will be carried out in accordance with the Health Protocol of EODY.
The delivery of the clothes of the participants (in special plastic bags that the event has) will take place in specially designed spaces, depending on their number and the race in which they participate.
The runners will be placed at the start in such a way that the natural distance of 1.5m between them is observed in the special indications that will be on the ground. The runners will start in three rows per 50 participants. For a distance of at least 200m – 300m (2,500 m2) after the start, there will be a flow indicator in order to indicate to the runners the path to follow and the distances that are recommended to be followed.
During the race it is recommended that runners keep as long distances as possible. Runners are safe to run only when a safe distance of 1.5m is maintained between the runners.
After the finish, the runners receive from the special feeding stations and medals plastic small bag, which will include the items provided by the organizer (if applicable: bottled water, sandwiches, souvenir diploma, finish medal).
Receipt is intact. The bag is placed by the race staff / volunteers at tables, from where the runner receives them himself, without physical contact.
The award ceremonies will take place with full observance of the rules of distance and restriction of contacts and with the presence of only the absolutely necessary persons.
Runners should run wearing a jersey, which in no case should be removed before, during or after the finish until the receipt of the bag with their clothes.
All registered runners will be fully informed about all aspects of the event, regulations and procedures to be followed by Electronic Communication, Printed Material, Special Marking and Continuous Audio Announcements on the day of the race.
The movements of participants / volunteers / employees / judges / collaborators for the purposes of the event both before and after the race will be carried out in accordance with the Health Protocol of EODY regarding the movements and will be valid on the day of the event. In cases where vehicles of the event are used, the use of a double mask is defined as necessary.
All employees / volunteers / judges / associates who will be employed on the day of the race will be fully trained and educated regarding the procedures and regulations of the event.
The whole human participating in supporting the event will have completed the vaccination process or become ill up to 15 days prior to employment in the organization.
The instructions of the Health Protocol of the Race will be updated with each new relevant announcement of the GGA
