2.1 Road Race 5.000m.
Start Time: 20:00
Start / Termination: Starting point on 3rd September (entrance to the Olympic Museum) and finish at Pier I – ThPA Port of Thessaloniki.
The starting point of the race is on 3rd September (entrance to the Olympic Museum). The route follows the streets: September 3rd until the end of this, turn left on October 30 and continue on Alexander M. Avenue, with a reversal at the height of Paraskevopoulou Street and heading towards the White Tower, entrance on 30th October and then on Niki Avenue, towards the building of the old Customs, where it turns to the left and then, following a straight path, ends at Pier A and the finish line of the race. 2.2 Road Racing 1.500m.
Start Time: 20:30
Start / Termination: Starting in front of the White Tower and ending at Pier A – ThPA. Port of Thessaloniki.
Route Description 1.500m:
The starting point of the race is on the old Thessaloniki Beach in front of the White Tower. The route, having as its final destination the Port of the city, crosses with a traffic-back course Niki Avenue and Admiral Kountouriotos. At the height of the main entrance of ThPA. (on Kountouriotos) turns to the left to enter the Port and after approaching the Old Customs Building, it turns to the left to reach Pier I and the finish line of the race. 3. RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE
To join someone on the 2nd Olympic Day Run, a 5,000-meter (5,000m) and 1,500m, must have reached the age of 6 (born after 8/6/2013). A prerequisite for participation of underage runners is the submission of a parent or guardian’s consent. With regard to group stays for schools (free participation) in the Road race 1,500m. the Team Registration Team (Teacher, Coach, etc.) must present the status of the participating pupils with an official letter from the school accompanied by Responsible Statements of the guardians (otherwise participation does not apply).
In the case of minor runners, the declared “Family Enrollment Officer” exercises parental responsibility for them. With his consent, the “Family Record Manager” consents to the participation of the children in the match and agrees with the content of the above statement.
In the case of group registrations (of more than 10 individuals), the person declared as “Group Registration Officer” bears sole responsibility for custody and full responsibility of minors on all matters, including their security. To receive the equipment, the “Group Registration Officer” is required to produce Responsible Declarations from all parents of minor runners, with their consent, regarding the participation of the children in the match, as well as the authorization of the “Group Registration Officer”
4. DISTINCTIONS – PRIZES
All runners who will participate and finish at the 5,000m Games. & 1,500m will receive a commemorative medal and a commemorative diploma from the International Olympic Committee as well as prizes for the winners. Winners will be declared the top three (3) runners, women and men respectively, who will finish in the 5,000m race, as well as the three (3) first families / groups (over 10) in the 1,500m race.
