Sunday 14.05.2023

  • AGT Race 28 km.
  • AGT Race 11 km.
  • AGT Race 6 km.

Start: 09:00

At the end of this path, we have a downhill dirt road again until we meet the asphalt road, heading to the right, on an uphill asphalt road for about 1 km.

Once the trail is finished we are happily at the 10th km of the route, where there will be a refueling station.

Continuing our course to the left, we begin the transition to the Aegean side.

In about 1 km we reach the highest point of the route, which is at 640m. Descending on a paved dirt road for about 3 km we are at the most amphitheater point of the route.

As we descend we meet the beach of Harakas (on the horizon prevails only the blue of the Aegean). We arrived happily at the 18th km at the wonderful beach of Harakas, which is ideal for a quick break.

In particular, swim, food, water, isotonic and we start the relaxed ascent of the gorge of Harakas, 2.5 km with a gentle slope, but stone-rocky river terrain.

We continue our journey on an uphill path and a dirt road to the village of Kellia. A “ghost” village, abandoned for many years, in a ravine, with stone houses forgotten by time.

At the exit from the village and more specifically at the 26th km there will be a last refueling station.

The last downhill part of a paved road 1 km long leads us into the village of Styra.

A few meters now separate us from the last meters of this wonderful adventure.

Altitude profiles: You start from the height of 100m and reach up to +620 meters altitude. Then you end up at sea level, from where you climb to about 320 m. Finally, you descend and finish at 100m, from where you started. The positive altitude difference reaches about 1450 m.

Event time: 09:00 a.m.

At the 1st km we are on the first dirt road that leads us to the beginning of the “Path of the Goat”, which is a purely mountainous – vertical – virgin path with exclusively rocky terrain (1 km + 230 yards with an average slope of 22.5%).

This path ends at the gate of Armeni and at the top of Diakofti at the 5th km / 645 m altitude. At this point there will be the 1st gas station.

Continuing behind the castle of Armenon we are at the 6th km / + 550 YD (on our right in the background we see the mountain of Ochi), heading to the first downhill part of the route, which passes through the ancient quarries of Dryopi (2 km with -233 HH and 11.4% negative slope).
